Ralph Raymond Maturo, age 93, of Ansonia, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. He was the devoted husband of the late Lorraine D’Addio Maturo. Ralph was born in Derby on September 22, 1931, son of the late Peter and Margaret (Rapuano) Maturo, and attended St. Mary’s Grammar School, Derby High School, and then Norwich University. He lived in Ansonia for 70 years.
Ralph worked as a Sales Engineer for the Farrel Corp. in Ansonia for over 45 years. He was very active for many years in local Biddy basketball and Pop Warner football as a coach. Ralph was a long-time member of the Valley YMCA and a dedicated parishioner at Holy Rosary church.
He is the beloved father of Peter Maturo and his wife Rosalie, and Ron Maturo and his wife Debbie, cherished grandfather of Adam (Vanessa), Leah, John (Erin), Andrew (Lauren), and Nicole, and proud great-grandfather of Dominic and Cyrus.
Friends may greet the family at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home on Monday, March 24, 2025 from 8:30 am to 9:30 am. The funeral procession will leave at 9:30 am for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Holy Rosary Church, Ansonia. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery.
