Raymond M. Roberts Sr., age 75, of Derby entered into rest on Tuesday September 26, 2017 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford.
He was born in New Haven on December 19, 1941 the son of the late Raymond and Helen (Piontek) Roberts.
Ray was a Derby resident all of his life. He was a Derby High School graduate and played football for the Red Raiders. He was a member of Storms Engine Company #2 and the Adriatic Marchegian Club. Ray was a truck driver for 25 years before retiring from Dichello Distributors.
He is survived by his son Eric Roberts and his wife Christy, his daughter Debra Roberts, his granddaughter Aubrey Roberts, and his brothers Charles and Carl Roberts. He was predeceased by his son Raymond Roberts Jr., his brother Jimmy Roberts, and his sisters Trudy Cafasso and Brenda Freiheit.
Friends are invited to greet Ray’s family on Friday September 29, 2017 from 4 to 7 pm in the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St. Derby. On Saturday everyone is invited to attend his funeral service directly at Mt. St. Peter Garden Mausoleum at 9 am.
