Raymond R. “Jerry” Raymo

Raymond R. Jerry” Raymo, age 90, entered into peaceful rest on March 30, 2022, at the West Haven VA Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Ann Roddy Raymo. 

Mr. Raymo was born in Highgate Center, VT on May 29, 1931, son of the late Jerry and Hattie Bougius Raymo. A resident of Seymour for fifty-four years, he was employed at U.S. Motors and later as an inspector at Sikorsky Aircraft for thirty years, until his retirement in 1994. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. Jerry enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, horseshoes, foraging for mushrooms, going to the movies and especially galivanting with his cherished grandchildren. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees. 

In addition to his wife Ann, he leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Lorene Lozada (Alexander) of Summerfield, NC and Dawn Passerine (Greg) of Oxford, grandchildren, Alexander Lozada II of Raleigh, NC, Audra Lozada of Summerfield, NC, Dr. Dallas Passerine, DVM of Oxford and Tyler Passerine of Boston, MA and niece, Ellie Shover (John) of Swanton, VT. He was predeceased by his sister, Eunice Patnode. 

Friends and relatives may greet the family and pay their respects on Saturday, April 2, 2022, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 3:00 pm, United States Navy military honors will be accorded followed by a prayer service with Rev. Dominic Valla, officiating. Burial will be private.
