Ricardo Witham

Ricardo Witham, affectionately known as Rick, passed away peacefully on Monday December 21st. He was 83 at the time. Rick was born on November 30, 1937 in Fairfield, ME, to the late Walter and Mona Parsons Witham.

Rick was a dedicated worker, spending 37 years at USM/Pot Fastener. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, belonging to both Great Hill Fish and Game as well as Derby Sportsmen. He was an avid biker, lover of classic cars, and only liked to play golf on days that ended in y”. He was happiest in Florida, laying in the sun all day and being surrounded by his wife Edee of sixty years, and close friends.

Rick is survived by his wife, Edee; two children: Rick Witham of Oxford, and Diane Gaudett (with her husband Joe) of Newtown. He is also survived by two grandchildren: Jocelyn Swann (with her husband Justin), Camryn Gaudett, his brother-in-law Sam DiJon, as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister, Norma Dijon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 30th at 11:00 am (Directly) at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Rd, Oxford. Interment will follow in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery, Derby, CT. Friends and Relatives may greet Ricardo’s family in the church from 10:30 until the start of the Mass. Due to the current pandemic, guest will be asked to wear masks and to adhere to social distancing requirements at all times.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or St Thomas the Apostle Church, through the funeral home.
