Richard A. Halloran, age 82, entered eternal rest on November 14, 2023, at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Diane Mormile Halloran.
Richard was born in New Haven on August 13, 1941, son of the late Martin Halloran Sr. and Mary Halloran. He was employed as a manager for the former Teletrack in New Haven for many years until his retirement. A proud veteran, he honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. Richard was intelligent and funny with a great sense of humor and a true kind heart. He liked watching sports and keeping up on current events. Richard, along with his late wife Diane, also enjoyed spending winters in sunny Florida.
Richard leaves to cherish his memory, his brother, Martin Halloran Jr. of Branford, sisters-in-law, Dolores Hooker of Ansonia and Elizabeth Rubino of North Haven, best friend Carl Costa of Branford along with several loving nieces and nephews, especially Lisa A. Mraz (Jay) of Milford. He was predeceased by his sister, Marilyn Ricci and sister-in-law, Audrey Batick.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 9:00 – 11:00 am in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 11:00 am, a funeral service and celebration of Richard’s life will take place with Reverend Jeffrey Gubbiotti, officiating. Interment with United States Air Force honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Avenue, North Haven.
