Richard D. DiDente, Jr. age 57, unexpectedly entered eternal rest on August 29, 2024, at his home in Ansonia.
Rich was born in Derby on April 19, 1967, son of Patricia (Clifford) DiDente of Ansonia and the late Richard C. DiDente. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, he was employed as a machinist for Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford for thirty-five years, until his retirement in 2024.
Rich was a kind gentleman with a huge heart who was always there for everyone. He was the best uncle and number one supporter to his loving nephews Brian and Patrick. From scouts to special Olympics, he was always by their side cheering the loudest.
Rich was an avid fan of Ohio State football and UCONN Women’s Basketball. His hobbies included golf and bowling.
In addition to his mother Pat, Rich leaves to cherish his memory, his sister, Natalie A. DiDente and nephews, Brian Dunleavy Jr., and Patrick Dunleavy all of Ansonia, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
On Thursday morning, September 5, 2024, all are invited to attend his funeral service, at 10:00 am, at the funeral home with Deacon Thomas Clifford officiating.
