Richard Morgan, age 61, of Shelton, entered into eternal rest on Saturday April 5, 2014 at CT. Hospice with his loving wife by his side. He is the beloved husband of 34 years to Barbara Murray Morgan.
He was born in Bridgeport on July 18, 1952, son of the late Joseph Morgan and Mary Cantarano Morgan. Richard was raised in Milford and was a resident of Shelton for 25 years.
Richard was employed by for over 42 years with NorthEast Utilities and was currently a Chief Stock Handler in Newtown. He loved to ride motorcycles. He was also an avid musician, who played guitar and sang in a band “The Trip”. He was an avid sports fan who loved to watch the NY Giants, NY Yankees, and UCONN Basketball.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one brother Robert Morgan and his wife Jan, one niece Danielle Morgan, one nephew Jason Morgan and great nephews, Kyle, Cole and Wyatt
Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd. Shelton. His funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:45 am for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Joseph Church, Shelton. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Monroe.
