There was only one other thing that could trump Rick’s passion for surfing and weightlifting and that was being a father. Rick was second to none in the fatherhood department, especially when it came to coaching his only daughter Kelly, both on and off the softball field.
Rick had a love for music and enjoyed attending concerts. Some of his favorite hobbies included skiing and bowling. Rick was also an avid sports fan who loved watching his favorite teams, UCONN, the New York Jets and the Boston Red Sox. He shared many great memories with his wife and daughter at Jets and Patriots football games.
In addition to his wife Cheryl, Rick leaves to cherish his memory his adored daughter Kelly Ann Lampart, son-in-law, Patrick Lampart and grandson Patrick Lampart Jr., all of Southbury, a brother Russell Mitchell Jr. (Jean) of Spartanburg, SC, grandson, Patrick Lampart Jr. of Southbury, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Anthony and Frances Brancato Sr. of Ansonia, in-laws, Lori Pokladowski (Andrew Jr.) of Oxford, Anthony Brancato Jr. (Barbara) of Seymour and Joseph Brancato (Diana) of FL, nieces and nephews, Gianna Brancato, James Mitchell (Nanda), Robert Mitchell (Roberta), Drew Pokladowski (Abby), Anthony Brancato III and Bianca Brancato along with many cousins and friends.
