Richard V. Gabriel, 77, of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on December 5, 2013, at Griffin Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Theresa Vagnini Gabriel.
Mr. Gabriel was born in Ansonia on September 17, 1936, son of the late Joseph and Emma D’Urbano Gabriel. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, he was a self- employed painting and masonry contractor until his retirement.
In addition to his wife Theresa, he is survived by three sons, Richard W. Gabriel of Ansonia, Robert J. Gabriel (Nancy) of Shelton and Mark V. Gabriel of Ansonia.
A private graveside service followed by interment will take place in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery in Derby. There will be no visiting hours. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, has been privileged with the arrangements.
