Richard W. Weaver, age 78, of Shelton entered into rest on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at his home.
He was born in Bridgeport on January 22,1944 son of the late Roy and Martha (Kekacs) Weaver, and was a lifelong Shelton resident. Richard honorably served as a Sergeant with the Marines Corps during Vietnam. He was a true Leatherneck and was especially proud of his expert marksmanship skills. Richard was an inspector at Sikorsky Aircraft for many years until his retirement. He was an avid fan of the New York Mets, New York Jets, and San Francisco 49ers. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and especially cherished his time with the grandchildren.
Richard was the beloved father of Pamela Corrado, Michelle Weaver, Stephen Weaver, Kristi Weaver and her husband Charles Grewcock, and brother of Jeffrey Weaver, Virginia Oakley and his late twin Sandra Weaver. He was the loving grandfather of Harlow, Charlie, Emma, Jake, Sarah, and Rebekka, and great grandfather of Austin, Ireland, Greyson, Annalise, Georgia, Ryan, Noah, and Jordan. Richard was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
On Sunday, friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. His funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM.
