Robert A. Casini, 31, of Columbus, GA, formerly of Seymour, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on July 12, 2015. He was the loving fiancée of Megan Garner of GA.
Robert was born in Derby on Oct. 18, 1983, beloved son of Robert N. and Lisa Cormack Casini of Seymour. He was a graduate of Seymour High School in 2001 where he played football and ran track. Later, he graduated from Western New England College with a degree in computer science. He went on to proudly and honorably serve as a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corp. during Operation Enduring Freedom. Robert was employed as a program analyst for TSYS in GA.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Brendan J. Casini (age 2) of GA, a brother, Jason R. Casini (Aimee) of Seymour, paternal grandmother, Antoinette Casini of Ansonia, maternal grandmother, Florence Cormack of Seymour, nephew, Noah Casini, niece, Emily Casini and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday July 16, 2015, from 4 – 8 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Friday at 10:00 am, a funeral service in celebration of Robert’s life will take place in the funeral home. Interment with U.S. Marine Corp. military honors will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Brendan J. Casini Scholarship Fund, C/O Lisa Casini, through the funeral home.
