Robert “Bob” E. Tall, age 76, formerly of Shelton, entered into rest on Monday, May 27, 2024, in Sacramento, CA. He is the beloved husband of 33 years of Sandra Tall. Robert was born in Derby on January 7, 1948, son of the late Andrew and Lillian (Kozak) Tall, raised in Shelton, and moved to California over forty years ago.
Bob was a star athlete at Shelton HS, Class of ‘65 and Norwich University Class of ‘71 in Football, Baseball, and Basketball. Imbued with an incredible competitive spirit, Bob took great pride in his sporting accomplishments. He went on to work for Crain Industries / Foamex until his retirement.
He is the cherished father of Brian Tall, and his wife Joanne, and Garett Tall, and proud grandfather of Brianne and Andrea Tall. He is also survived by his brother Thomas Tall and his wife Sue, his sister Linda Besaw and her husband Bob, and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, on Wednesday June 5 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. His funeral service will follow in the parlor at 10:30 AM. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Shelton.
