Robert J. McEvoy age 80 of Beacon Falls, entered into peaceful rest August 7, 2010 at CT Hospice, Branford. He was born February 11, 1930 in Derby. Son of the late Francis and Louise (Schultz) McEvoy. Robert was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran, and a member of the David S. Miles Post 174, American Legion, Oxford. He resided with his nephew Raymond Lee and his wife Denise in Beacon Falls for the past 7 years, formerly of Seymour. Mr. McEvoy was a retired Construction Carpenter, later he retired as a Truck Driver from Dunham Craft Co., and recently was employed by the Brookside Inn, Oxford.
In addition to his nephew whit whom he resided, Robert leaves 2 sons, Robert and James, and a daughter Gail, a brother, William McEvoy and his wife Sharon of Oxford, and several nieces and nephews. His twin brother Francis and sister Shirley Lee McEvoy predeceased him.
