Robert Morgan Kullberg, age 86, lifelong Shelton resident, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at Bridgeport Hospital. He was the beloved husband of 47 years of the late Patricia Lee (Hoyle) Kullberg.
Robert was born in Derby on July 16, 1933, son of the late Frank J. and Julia Harriet (Wakelee) Kullberg, and was a lifelong resident of Shelton.
He served his country with the US Army and went on to a career as a letter carrier for the Shelton Post Office before his retirement. Robert’s passion was gardening, and he loved orchids and maintaining a huge vegetable garden. He was a member of the Masons, the Grange, and the CT Cactus and Succulent Society.
He is the beloved father of Susan Kullberg, Robin Hartwell and her husband William, and Debra Boone and her husband Gary. He also leaves three cherished grandchildren, Morgan Hartwell, Wendy Boone, and Shane Boone, one sister, Jeanne Staehly and several nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his brother Frank Kullberg and two sisters Frances Masiello and Harriet Kullberg.
Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton on Sunday from 1 to 3 PM. A funeral service will begin Sunday at 3 PM, with Rev. Ken Smith officiating.
