Rodman Kneen, age 92, husband of the late Ruth (Ledger) Kneen and resident of Shelton, passed away Dec. 21.
He was born April 20, 1923 in Derby, son of the late Dr. George & Ruth Truax Kneen.
He was a veteran of U.S. Air Force during WWII and worked for Farrel Corp. for 44 years as a manufacturing planner.
Rod was proud to be a member of the Boy Scouts of America for 83 years.
He is predeceased by his brother ‚Colonel George Kneen Jr. of Marietta, GA., and sister, Carolyn Kneen Petz of Shelton.
He is survived by his daughter Robin Hartel, son Rodman “Boo” Kneen, grandchildren – Jayson Kneen (Dana), Cady (Fuller) Hart Petterssen (Nicholas), Cory (Fuller) Miller (Matthew), Jessyca (Kneen) Ammerman (Thomas) and two grandsons, Jay and Oryon.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 24th 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at The Huntington Congregational Church.
Donations in his memory may be made to Housatonic Council of Boy Scouts. There are no calling hours. The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, is entrusted with arrangements.
