Rodney G. Goff

Rodney G. Goff, 65, of Stratford, peacefully entered into eternal rest on November 14, 2013, at the West Haven V.A. Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Veronica Roni” Worthington Goff.

Mr. Goff was born in Micco, West Virginia on February 1, 1948, son of the late William and Dorothy Blankenship Goff. He was a resident of the Valley area for most of his life before moving to Stratford five years ago. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. Rodney was employed as a diesel mechanic at Ansonia Copper & Brass for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, fixing cars, visiting the casino and especially spending time with his family.

He is survived by a loving son, Glen J. Goff (Jennifer) of Sharon, MA, two loving daughters, Alicia Sotolongo (Tim) of Shelton and Christine Frey (Jim) of Seymour, a brother, Carl G. Goff of New Haven, two sisters, Mag Biewald and Stefanie Goff of West Haven, cherished grandchildren, Zachary, Colin, and Ayden Frey, Lucas and Olivia Sotolongo and Ryan Goff, former wife, Maria Campolucci, brother in law, Michael Milia (Eileen) and sister in law, Elia Iannaccone (Ciro) all of Seymour and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, William & Jack Goff and a sister Barbara Goff.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday November 18, 2013, from 4 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral on Tuesday at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment with U.S. Army military honors will take place immediately following Mass in the State Veterans’ Cemetery in Middletown.
