Ronald D. East, a 77-year-old Shelton resident and husband to Susan Sharpe East, passed away June 11.
He was born March 20, 1940 in Derby, son of the late Stanley and Ruth Vedder East.
Ronald was the owner of the East & Waldhaus Insurance Agency. He was Past Master of King Hiriam Masonic Lodge in Shelton and Past District Deputy for The Masonic Lodge in CT. He was also a member of Gideon’s International and The Derby Shelton Rotary Club.
In addition to his wife Susan, he leaves his son Ronald D. East Jr. of Oxford, daughter Lori Michalak of Shelton, brother Stanley East of La Plata, Missouri , sister Ruth Koenig of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and grandchildren Alyssa & Jennifer East, Ronald East III and Kimberly & Michael Michalak.
Funeral services will be on Friday, June 16 at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia at 11:00 a.m. Friends may call on Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. before the service. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Shelton. (www.jenkinskingfh.com)
