Ronald N. Morello Sr., 75, of Oxford, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on December 20, 2012, at his home. He was the beloved husband of Joyce Lawrence Morello.
Mr. Morello was born in Ansonia on July 30, 1937, son of the late Salvatore and Sebastianna Sampiere Morello. A design engineer, Ron founded CT Precision Castings Inc. in Claremont, NH in 1986, where he served as president, until his retirement. He was previously employed as vice president and general manager of Bruce Manufacturing in Plantsville, CT. Ron had his pilot’s license, enjoyed flying, and was a member of the St. Sebastian Men’s Club in Ansonia.
In addition to his wife Joyce, he is survived by two loving sons, Ronald N. Morello Jr. (Annette) of Charlestown, NH and Timothy J. Morello (Aya) of Okinawa, Japan, two loving daughters, Donna L. Gramolini (Glenn) of Ansonia and Diana L. Preneta (John H.) of Beacon Falls, ten cherished grandchildren, Paul and Jenna Gramolini, Austin Morello, Ashley and Daniel Preneta, and Melissa, Gabriel, Jennifer, Sophia, and Vincent Morello, a sister, Lucy DiGiovanni of Seymour, a special and devoted niece, Linda Blake (Bob) of Oxford, and several other nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by a brother, John Morello and a nephew, Philip A. DiGiovanni Jr.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, from 4 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Thursday, relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia.
