Roney Antico Jr, age 80, of Ansonia entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford.
He was the Beloved husband of Josephine Czajkowski Antico.
He was born in Derby April 20, 1930, son of the late Roney and Mary J. Fama Antico Sr. Prior to his retirement, Roney was an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician for Ralph Mann and Sons.
He was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Church, St. Sebastian’s Club, enjoyed vacationing with his family at Myrtle Beach, SC and attending his grandson’s sporting events. He was also an avid bocce ball, pinochle and cribbage player.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, Roney P. Antico and his wife Cheryl of Ansonia, three daughters, Laura Halpin and her husband Frank of Ansonia, Cynthia Zuraw and her husband Joseph of Seymour, Doreen Corrigan and her husband Peter of Derby. One Sister, Eleanor Antico of Middletown, seven grandchildren, Nicole and Andrew Halpin, Christopher and Nicholas Zuraw, Zachary, Lukas and Logan Corrigan and one great grandson Jason Zuraw.
Services will be held Saturday 8:45 AM from THE SPINELLI-RICCIUTI / BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME 62 Beaver St., Ansonia followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 9:00 AM at Holy Rosary Church, Ansonia. Burial with Military Honors will be in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby. Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
