Rosalie Behrle, age 86, of Ansonia, entered into rest on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Griffin Hospital in Derby. She was the devoted wife for 59 years of the late Willard Henry Behrle, Jr. Rosalie was born in New York on August 6, 1937, daughter of the late Anthony and Sarah (Camilini) Imperato, and lived much of her life in Ansonia.
For over 46 years Rosalie worked as a central processsing technician at Griffin Hospital until her retirement.
She leaves behind three cherished children, Cheryl DaSilva, Ronald Behrle and his wife Debra, and Lynn Wasilewski and her late husband Michael.She also leaves behind six beloved grandchildren, Alyssa and Ryan Behrle, Christopher and Ashley Wasilewski, Tyler Dasilva (Kate), Trevor DaSilva, and her great-granddaughter, Olivia Mae DaSilva. She was predeceased by her sister, Louise Hallet.
Rosalie was loved by every single person that was blessed to know her — a friend of hers remained a friend for life. As for her family, her love for us was beyond measure. And our love for her can not be put into words, she was our light on the darkest of days. Simply put, she was our everything.
The Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Dr, Ansonia on Saturday at 9 AM. Burial will immediately follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
