Rosaria “Rosalie” Scuderi, 78, peacefully entered into eternal rest on August 3, 2016, in the comfort of her home, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Vito Scuderi.
Mrs. Scuderi was born in Derby on July 3, 1938, daughter of the late Dominic and Anna Lorito Maniscalco. She was employed as a secretary in the borough of Queens for the New York City Board of Education for twenty years, until her retirement.
She is survived by a son, Joseph D. Scuderi, M.D.-Ph.D. of Woodbridge, a brother, Michael Maniscalco of Ansonia, brother in law, Jerry Milton of Ansonia and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Sarah Milton.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday August 7, 2016, from 2 to 5 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Monday, her funeral will commence at 10:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment will take place in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
