Rose A. Faccento, 92, entered into eternal rest on May 5, 2015, at Oasis Health Care in Lake Worth, FL. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred E. “Gig” Faccento.
Mrs. Faccento was born in Ansonia on July 21, 1922, daughter of the late Salvatore and Concetta Volo LaMonica. She was a lifelong resident of Ansonia before moving to Florida three years ago to be with her son. Rose was employed at the former B.F. Goodrich in Shelton and later at Bunker Ramo in Trumbull until her retirement. She enjoyed sitting and talking with her friends for hours and visiting the casino.
She is survived by a loving son, Joseph F. Carotenuto Jr. (Abra) of Lake Worth, FL, cherished grandchildren, Lori Carotenuto of Hamden and Joseph Carotenuto III of Ansonia, great-grandsons, Justin and Joseph Carotenuto of Ansonia and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, John, Joseph, Sam and Angelo LaMonica and sisters, Michaelina Marmora and Eve Lauria.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday May 11, 2015, from 5 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Tuesday, her funeral will be held at 11:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment will take place in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
