Rose Caserta, age 98, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday morning, August 1, 2017, at Lord Chamberlain Health Care in Stratford.
Miss Caserta was born in the Bronx, NY on October 10, 1918, daughter of the late Frank and Palma Forsano Caserta. A lifelong resident of the Ansonia community, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her loving family.
She is survived by a devoted nephew, Anthony Caserta and his wife Mary Anne of Orange, cherished great-niece, Alyssa Caserta of Shelton and loving Godson, Richard Marazzi of Ansonia. She was predeceased by brothers, Anthony and Joseph Caserta.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Friday, her funeral will begin at 8:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
