Rose DeGennaro, age 81, wife of Joseph DeGennaro and Seymour resident, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family Jan. 20.
She was born Jan. 23, 1931 in Waterbury, CT., daughter of the late Frank & Rose Gaetano and worked at The Southbury Training School.
She was a faithful parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church in Ansonia and was a member of the church Ladies’ Guild.
She also enjoyed the casino and traveling in the Caribbean. In addition to her husband, she leaves to cherish her memory her son Joseph DeGennaro of Naugatuck, daughter Sharon Levinsky of Beacon Falls, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren & several nieces & nephews.
Rose was predeceased by two sisters, Phyliss Senzamici & Margaret Ricciardi & four brothers, John & Albert Senzamici & Frank & Carmon Gaetano.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, beginning at 8:15 a.m. at the Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia.
The funeral will leave for St. Anthony’s Church in Ansonia, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m.
Burial will be private in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Friends may call on Wednesday, at 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. (www.jenkinskingfh.com)
