Rose M. Passander, 84, of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on October 15, 2012, at Hewitt Health & Rehab in Shelton. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony A. Passander.
Mrs. Passander was born in Meadville, PA on October 4, 1928, daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Frisina. She was employed at the former Connecticut Narrow Fabrics in Ansonia and later at Lord Corporation in Shelton until her retirement. She was a devoted communicant of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia, a member of its Rosary Guild and women’s bocce league, and volunteered annually at the Italian Festival. She also attended Bingo at the church each week.
She is survived by a son, Martin J. Passander of Ansonia, two grandchildren, Kelly Marie Passander and Thomas A. Passander of Ansonia, two great-granddaughters, Destiny and Faith Walker, five brothers, Joseph Frisina and Samuel Frisina of CA, Anthony Frisina, Dominick Frisina, and Peter Frisina of PA, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, John and Steven Frisina and a sister, Theresa Baiera.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday Oct. 18, 2012, from 4 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Friday, her funeral cortege will assemble at 8:15 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Entombment will follow in Mt.
