Rose Ragozzine, age 99, of Shelton entered into her eternal rest on Thursday March 1, 2012 in the Bishop Wicke Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the devoted wife of the late Albert N. Ragozzine.
Mrs. Ragozzine was born in Derby on Feb. 19, 1913, daughter of the late Genaro Romano, Sr. and Maria De Felice Romano and resided in Derby and then Shelton, until retiring to FL in 2005. A homemaker, she also worked as a book keeper at her husband’s company the former Hydraulic Engineering Company in Shelton for many years. She was also a former member of the Senior Citizen Center,Derby, CT and the Council of Catholic Women of Divine Mercy Church, Merritt Island, FL.
She is the beloved mother of Alberta Inzero, Rosemary Foley, Darby Hayes, and the late Margaret D’Urso. She also leaves 9 loving grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Beside her daughter she is predeceased by 2 brothers, John Romano and Genaro Romano, Jr., and 2 sisters Lucy Macchia and Mary Angeli.
Friends may greet her family on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM in the Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Road Shelton. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:45 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Margaret Mary Church Shelton.
