Rose Steeves, age 76, widow of Floyd Steeves and resident of Stratford, entered into eternal rest March 31.
She was born April 29, 1938 in Ansonia, daughter of the late Luigi & Josephine Fama. She was a former resident of Ansonia and worked for Griffin hospital in Derby. Rose was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Gloria Barber & husband Tim of Stratford & Lisa Steeves of Ansonia, son Dave Steeves & wife Denise of Ansonia, brother in law Ron Steeves & wife Carolyn of Asonia, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and special nephew Sal Cisto & wife Agnes of Seymour. She was predeceased by her son Tom Steeves, 2 brothers, Joe and Frank Fama and sister Anne Cisto.
Friends may call on Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. (www.jenkinskingfh.com) A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 7th at 10:00 a.m. from Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
