Rose Toth, an 85-year-old resident of Fairfield, passed away peacefully with family by her side on April 16 at The Jewish Home in Fairfied.
She was born in Puspokladany, Hungary on May 26, 1929, came to the USA in 1962 with her two small children to be reunited with her husband.
She is the daughter of the late Balint & Lydia Borsos of Hungary. She was a hard worker her whole life and raised her 2 children alone. Rose was a dedicated mother and grandmother and family was the most important thing in her life and had worked several jobs throughout her life to provide for them.
She worked for Fairfield University and Bead & Chain Manufacturing for many years. she enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Rose Malerba & husband Joseph of Beacon Falls, son Stephen Toth & partner Sandra Pelley of Enfield, grandchildren Tina Mattiolo of Shelton, Nichole Campofiore of Shelton, Joseph Malerba Jr. of Beacon Falls, Jennifer Grady of Milford, Christina Laursen of Virginia, Jackie Toth of Stratford & Steven Toth of Stratford, great grandchildren Morgan Gallagher of Milford, Nicolo & Gianna DeCaro, Siena, Caden, & Blake Mattiolo, all of Shelton and Drew Laursen of Virginia, and step grandchildren Rebecca & Heather Malerba, both of Ansonia and Brittany Kulas of Seymour.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 20th 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (www.jenkinskingfh.com)
