RoseEllen (Mann) Nemec, age 83, entered into eternal rest on August 21, 2022, at Hewitt Health and Rehabilitation Center in Shelton. She was the beloved wife of Edward W. Nemec.
RoseEllen was born in Ashley, PA on September 8, 1938, daughter of the late Andrew “Butch” and Helen Roche Mann. She was employed as an I.V. technician for Bridgeport Hospital for over thirty years until her retirement in 1996. RoseEllen was an avid dog lover with an affinity for Rottweiler’s. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Disney and New York City, playing cards and her favorite hobby was arts and crafts. She was a long-time communicant of Assumption Church in Ansonia.
In addition to her husband Edward, RoseEllen leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Christopher Nemec (Deanna) of Ansonia and Adam Nemec (Jaime) of Meriden, a sister, Donna Palaia (Larry) of Fairfield, brother-in-law, Bob Tavella of Fairfield, a cousin, Linda Martin (Ed) of Orange, grandchildren, Cassidy and Gillian Nemec of Ansonia and Madison and Maxwell Nemec of Cheshire along with several niece and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Andrea Tavella.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Thursday, August 25, 2022, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 7:00 pm a celebration in memory of RoseEllen’s life will take place with Reverend Jeffrey Gubbiotti officiating. Burial will be private.
