Rosemarie Giusto, age 84, entered into eternal rest on August 23, 2022, at Griffin Hospital in Derby, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Giusto.
Rosemarie was born in Derby on April 5, 1938, daughter of the late Philip and Concetta DiMauro Ginex. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, Rosemarie was a homemaker who lovingly cared for her home and family. She was employed at Wiffle Ball, Inc. in Shelton for many years and later owned and operated her own home day care in the 1980’s. She also worked in the cafeteria and as an aid for both Prendergast and Mead schools in Ansonia. Rosemarie’s greatest love and main priority was her family. She was happiest spending time with them and hosting Sunday family dinners each week. She was an Avon representative for twenty-five years and enjoyed tending to her flower garden. Rosemarie and her husband Joe loved cooking pasta, meatballs and sauce together for the Hilltop Hose Company’s annual ziti dinner. She will adoringly be missed by all.
In addition to her husband Joe, Rosemarie leaves to cherish her memory, a son, Frank J. Giusto (Donna) of Ansonia, daughters, Debra Salamon (George Jr.) of Shelton, Lisa Kershaw (Daniel Sr.) of Ansonia, Donna Sember of Naugatuck, a sister, Joanne Mudry (Paul) of Ansonia, eight grandchildren, George Salamon III (Melissa) of North Port, FL, Melissa Salamon of Shelton, Daniel Kershaw Jr. (Samantha) of Ansonia, Stefanie Reyher of Seymour, Gregory Sember Jr. (Lauren) of Seymour, Michael Sember of Naugatuck, Amanda Sember (Ivan Smith) of Beacon Falls and Jessica Sember of Naugatuck, seven great-grandchildren, Susannah Salamon, Carter Kershaw, Lily and Stephen Reyher, Lucas Smith and Evelyn and Elizabeth Sember, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Ginex, a son-in-law, Gregory Sember Sr. and a grandson-in-law, Stephen W. Reyher II.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Thursday, September 1, 2022, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
