Rosemary Culmo

Rosemary Topsy” Culmo, age 92, wife of the late Ernest Culmo, entered into eternal rest Jan. 5. 

She was born August 8, 1925 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Wilfred & Josephine Coppola DeVincent. 

Rosemary was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Derby and worked for BIC Pen for 25 years. 

Rosemary was predeceased by her beloved sister Carol Mattrella, brother Armand DeVincent, cherished aunt Rose Borrelli, daughter-in-law Mary Ellen Culmo (Wall), cousin Grace Patten. 

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Marilyn Lucarelli, son George Culmo, grandchildren Nicole, Chloe & Cree, son-in-law Denis Lucarelli, her cousins Phyllis Marciano, Steven Stango and Betty Stango. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Jan. 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady, Queen of the Apostles Church in Derby. (formerly St. Mary’s Church) Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, before the funeral leaves for church. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105. 

Topsy was a loving, caring person who always had a smile on her face. She will be deeply missed.
