Rosemary “Posy” Shortell O’Brien, age 74, wife of the late Joseph O’ Brien and resident of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest Dec. 24 at Griffin Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Matthew F. & Dorothy Miner Shortell.
Rosemary was a parishioner of The Church of the Assumption in Ansonia.
She leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters, Amy O’Brien of Ansonia & Whitney-Ann Bradshaw (Brian) of Cheshire and two grandsons, Brian & Matthew Bradshaw, both of Cheshire.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Bright & Ruth Mullen and four brothers, Donald, John “Bucky” & Robert Shortell, and Matthew F. “Pop” Shortell Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday Dec. 29 at 10:45 a.m., with friends asked to go directly to The Church of the Assumption in Ansonia.
Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. Friends may call on Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. (http://www.jenkinskingfh.com)
Rosemary leaves many friends & care givers at the Bishop Wicke Health Center in Shelton, and would like to thank the staff for the loving care they gave to her.
