Rowland Washington Hilton Jr., age 74, of Seymour, the beloved husband of Genevieve Lucia Hilton, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at his residence.
Rowland was born in Wildwood, NJ., on January 21, 1938, son of the late Rowland Washington Hilton Sr. and Dorothy Gehm Hilton. He retired as the foreman of the maintenance department at Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. of Stratford. He served in the Coast Guard, the U.S. Navy and retired as a Master Sergeant with the U.S. Army Reserves. He had been a Seymour resident for 35 years, previously residing in Cape Cod, MA. He received an Associate’s Degree from Housatonic Community College, and attended Southern Connecticut State University.
In addition to his beloved wife Genevieve, survivors include his cherished daughter Kimberly Hilton of Milford,CT., and his two caring sisters Edith Weaver and Patricia Haas, both of Tampa, Fla., several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
