Rudolph John Hudak, age 84, of Shelton, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at Griffin Hospital in Derby.
He was the beloved husband of the late Roberta (Gould) Hudak. Rudolph was born in Derby on October 7, 1936, son of the late John and Mary (Rajchula) Hudak, and he was raised and lived on the family farm in Shelton his entire life. He established Shelton’s Dairy in 1958 and operated it since. He loved owning his farm and working and tinkering on his tractors and equipment.
He is the beloved father of Karen McGuire and her husband Robert, and proud grandfather of Robert McGuire III and Jenna McGuire. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his sister, Lillian Pawlowski. A public walk-through visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. Visitors are required to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at St. Joseph Church, 50 Fairmont Place, Shelton at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Shelton. Online condolences can be offered to the family at www.riverviewfh.com.
