Ruth G. Lucke

Ruth G. Lucke, 83, of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on August 3, 2014, at Griffin Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul J. Lucke.

Mrs. Lucke was born in Scranton, PA on August 19, 1930, daughter of the late William and Leona Budenbach Greiner. A resident of Ansonia for 53 years, she was devoted to her family.

She is survived by four loving sons, Paul W. Lucke (Mary-Jo), David J. Lucke, Edward G. Lucke, and Donald J. Lucke all of Ansonia, a loving daughter, Gale M. Guerrero of Seymour, a sister, Helen Howarth of New Hampshire, nine cherished grandchildren, thre great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews, especially Leah Schenk of New Hampshire. She was predeceased by a son, Michael W. Lucke, a brother, William Greiner and a brother in law, Glenn Howarth.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday August 6, 2014, from 5 – 7 pm in the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Thursday, a funeral service in celebration of Ruth’s life will take place at 9:30 am in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Jim Wegner officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Disableed American Veterans or American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
