Samuel R. Volo, 92, a resident of Orange for over 50 years, entered into eternal rest on October 24, 2015, at Masonicare in Wallingford. He was the beloved husband of the late Virginia Forsberg Volo.
Mr. Volo was born in Ansonia on October 1, 1923, son of the late Joseph and Josephine Scarpulla Volo. He earned his Master’s Degree from Columbia University in New York and was employed as a physical education teacher for the Ansonia Board of Education until his retirement.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Volo and sisters, Catherine Volo and Michelena Martino.
There will be no public funeral service. He will be privately buried alongside his wife in Orange Center Cemetery in Orange. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia has been privileged with the arrangements.
