Sandra (Sandy) E. Barbour, passed away on Dec. 3, 2017.
She was born on June 23, 1954 and was the daughter of the late Hugh and Lucille Barbour. She bred German Shephard dogs, entering them, into AKC events where she won many awards. Sandy was a certified canine obedience instructor. She had horses and also won trophies in equine shows. She was predeceased by grandparents, Millard and Lena (Scheebel) Sheldon and Alexander and Elizabeth (Mair) Barbour, her beloved brother, Robert Barbour and her cherished dog, Leira.
Survivors include her sister in law, Geraldine Barbour, several cousins, including Andrew Blackwood of Ansonia Geraldine (Blackwood) Jensen of Beacon Falls, Ernest Blackwood, Sr., of Derby Robert Sheldon, Carol Smith, and Clair Lyon and cherished friends in TN, Ray Dulin, Robin Craig, Janie Keisling, friends in the Thomaston area and her loving cat, Callie.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery in Thomaston, CT.
