Sandra Celli (Sandi), 68, of Seymour, peacefully entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on August 7.
She was born Nov. 19, 1945 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Clelio & Viola (Faustini) Celli. She worked as a hairdresser for East Main Event in Ansonia for many years. She also worked for Weinstein and Anastasio in Woodbridge and most recently as an elderly companion and caregiver.
Sandi was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church in Ansonia as well as an avid member of the Board of Directors for Master’s Table Community Meals, a charity organization in Ansonia. She also enjoyed many Red Hatter outings with friends.Sandi loved her friends and family dearly and was a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren who were the joys of her life.
Sandi leaves her daughter Wendy Marek & her husband Aaron of Meriden, sons Kevin Celli & his fiancé Bridgette Gomez of Naugatuck, Michael Shaw & his wife Pam of N.C. & Richard Shaw Jr. of Houston, TX., brothers Kenneth Celli & Joseph Celli & wife Jin Hi Kim, both of Bridgeport, loving companion Ron LaMarche of Hartford, sister in law Jenny Jalbert of Waterbury, cousin Rosemary Antignani,nephew Camus Celli, several other cousins and 7 grandchildren: Colby, Alaina, Clay, Jovanni, Logan, Aaron Jr., and Samantha. She was predeceased by her dear friend, Jean Bradshaw Banks.
Friends may call on Tuesday August 12 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. (www.jenkinskingfh.com) Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, 10:00 a.m.(DIRECTLY) from Christ Episcopal Church 56 South Cliff Street, Ansonia with burial to follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Ave, Stratford. Afterward, a reception will follow back at Christ Episcopal Church.
