Sean Rawls-Rafferty, age nine months, unexpectedly entered the loving arms of Our Lord on November 1, 2022.
Sean was born in New Haven on February 1, 2022, beloved son of Ralph Rawls III and Krista Rafferty of Ansonia. Sean was happy, energetic, and loved to play in his jumper. He enjoyed bouncing so much in his jumper that mom and dad affectionately started calling him “B.B.” (bouncing baby boy) for short. His first nickname was Big Sean Lion. Sean loved his dog Lucky and would immediately laugh when he saw him. He had no fear, was a quick learner and loved to crawl and pull himself up to stand, and always enjoyed to explore new things.
In addition to his parents, he leaves to cherish his memory, twin brother, Grayson Rawls-Rafferty of Ansonia, paternal grandmother, Takeya Slade of Bridgeport, paternal great-grandmother, Arnetha Cohen of Bridgeport, aunts, Alisha Rawls-White (Joseph) of Oakville, Jhaniyah Reid of Bridgeport, Robin Foglia of Oakville, uncles, Peter Rafferty (Anne) and Timothy Vaisvilas of Torrington, John Vaisvilas of IL, and Rakeem Slade (Dametria) of Bridgeport, great-aunt, Takeysha Cohen of Bridgeport, and many cousins. He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Peter and Katharina Sellers Rafferty, and uncles, Ahkeem Cohen and his namesake, Sean Rafferty.
Sean’s funeral service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 1:00 pm at The Abundant Life Fellowship Ministries Inc, 195 – 199 North Main Street in Ansonia. Burial will be private. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, has been privileged with the arrangements.
