Shane M. Morneau, 32, of Derby, entered into rest on April 24, 2011.
Shane was born in Derby on May 23, 1978, loving son of Alyce Merola of Derby and Michael Morneau of Florida. He was a licensed electrician and employed at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, he honorably served during the Iraq War aboard the U.S.S. Kittyhawk. Shane was an avid outdoorsman, sports enthusiast, enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and participated in many charitable motorcycle runs.
In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by a brother Justin Morneau of AZ, maternal grandmother, Gloria Merola of Derby, paternal grandmother, Bobbi Morneau of FL, very special friend Jenna Manion, several aunts, uncles, many cousins, a host of friends, and beloved dog Max. He was predeceased by grandfathers, Roland Morneau and Albert Merola and an uncle Paul Merola.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Shane’s visiting hours on FRIDAY MORNING, April 29, 2011, from 9:00am to 11:00 am in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Committal services will immediately follow in Oak Cliff Cemetery on Hawthorne Avenue in Derby with the Deacon Richard Renker officiating. U.S. Navy military honors will be accorded.
