Shirley Elona Colman, (Altorelli), age 74 of West Hatfield, MA passed away on Sunday, September 8th, 2024 at the Elaine Center of Hadley, MA from the end stages of dementia.
Shirley was born in Derby, CT on February 3rd, 1950. She was the daughter of the late Alda (Ferri) and Andrew Altorelli of Derby, CT.
She was the beloved sister of Fran Black, the late Andrew Altorelli, Dr. Alphonse Altorelli, Theresa Altorelli, John Altorelli, Sharon Narducci, Paul Altorelli and Richard Altorelli.
Shirley and her husband, Frank Colman were married for 50 years. She was the mother of Isabella Gitana, Michael Colman and Shannon Colman. She had 5 beautiful grandchildren.
Shirley enjoyed time at home, reading, tending to her garden and playing cards. She had the power of intuition and empathy. It guided her through life. She was kind-hearted and always put others before herself. That’s what made her such a great nurse for over 30 years.
She was strong, told you like-it-is, supportive, had classic style and a flare for the dramatic.
She will live forever be in our hearts.
