Shirley N. Korpalski, age 94, passed away on December 15, 2021, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport.
She was the wife of sixty-three years to Alexander J. Korpalski. Shirley was born in Derby on May 16, 1927, daughter of the late Frank and Ann Felenchak Natowich. Shirley was employed as a secretary for American Airlines, General Electric and Valley Transit, before retiring.
She enjoyed travel and was an avid reader. In addition to her husband, Shirley is survived by several cousins. Relatives and friends may greet the family and pay their respects on Monday, December 20, 2021, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
Regardless of vaccination status, all visitors must wear a mask to enter the funeral home. At 11:00 am, a funeral service in celebration of Shirley’s life will take place with Reverend Mitchell Wanat officiating. Interment will immediately follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Derby. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Church, 32 Jewett Street, Ansonia, CT 06401.
