Stanley F. Ciuchta

Stanley F. Ciuchta, age 94 of Shelton, beloved husband of 60 years to Laura Marchitto Ciuchta, passed away December 4, 2014 at Gardner Heights Health Care Center in Shelton. 

Stanley was born in Shelton, November 4, 1920, son of the late Frank and Rose Zalenski Ciuchta and was a lifelong Shelton resident. 

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII and later worked as a tool inspector for Dresser Industries in Stratford for 50 years until his retirement. 

He was a member of the St. Joseph’s Men’s Club and was an amateur boxer. 

Stanley was an amazing man who was known for telling jokes, writing letters, and for his knowledge with trivia and facts. 

Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Mark Ciuchta of Shelton, his daughter, Karen Millea and her husband Dennis of Shelton; his grandchildren, Michael Millea and his wife Sondra of Shelton and James Millea and his wife Christina of Naugatuck; his great grandchildren, Riley and Sierra Millea of Shelton. 

He was predeceased by his brother, Chester Ciuchta, and his sister, Sophie Bryce. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM DIRECTLY in St. Margaret Mary Church, Shelton followed by full military honors. 

Burial will be at the convenience of the family. 

The James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton has been entrusted with arrangements. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Margaret Mary Church, 50 Donovan Lane, Shelton. CT 06484.
