On Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 12:30pm after a long illness our Beloved Uncle Stanley Irvin Hawley Jr. Entered Eternal Rest at Garden Heights Nursing Facility under the care of Hospice. Stanley Irvin Hawley Jr. was the son of the late Stanley Irvin Hawley Sr. and Adelaide Lawrence Hawley he was born on May 4, 1941 in Derby CT.
Stanley Irvin Hawley Jr. was a Native of Ansonia CT. were he attended Ansonia High School Class of 58, Stanley played competitive Golf and Football through his high school career Stanley received many trophies from both playing golf and baseball. In High School Stanley dreamed of becoming a State Policeman.
Stanley worked for several companies, Stanley Black and Decker for years, Emhart Teknologies until the company permanently closed down then he worked for Sears for sometime until he reached the ripe age of retirement. At that time he enjoyed his life of retirement by spending time with his family and dedicating time to his hobby his passion for Sport. Stanley loved playing one of his favorite sports Golf, he also enjoyed watching sports games on TV as well as in person and catching up on the latest Sports Center news.
Stanley leaves to cherish nieces and nephews Karen (Marcus) Readus GA, Antonio (Carol) Santos GA, Glenn Santos CT, Robert (Vanessa) Santos CT, Clifford Pitts GA, Wayne (Annette) Santos Sr. GA, Charles Santos GA, Sandra Carey-James (Bill) GA, Genita Santos CT, 24 great nieces and nephews 31 great-great nieces and nephews, 3 great-great-great nieces living throughout the United States.
Stanley was predeceased by his Maternal and Paternal Grandparents NY, Parents Stanley Irvin Hawley Sr. and Adelaide Lawrence Hawley NY, two Sisters Rosita Vivian (Alex) Carey-Spence NY, Lois Carol Santos-Nance GA, Brother Inlaw James Dudley Nance GA, 3 brothers in NY, nephews Peter Brian Santos CT, Isadore Kenneth (Cheryl Atkinson) Santos Jr. CT, great nephew Todd (Alyla Moye-Thomas) Santos GA, niece In-law Annette (Wayne) Santos GA, and great niece DiAsia Coardes CT.
Friends are invited to his graveside service on Saturday at 10:00 AM at Oak Cliff Cemetery, 52 Hawthorne Ave., Derby.
