Stella Augustine, age 94, of Derby entered into eternal rest on Monday August 26, 2024 in Griffin Hospital. She was the beloved wife of 62 years to the late Joseph Augustine. She was born in Derby on December 5, 1929 the daughter of the late John and Nellie (Pendziwater) Jordan. She started her career at Uniroyal before transitioning to Schick as a Blade Inspector for many years before her retirement. Mrs. Augustine was an active parishioner at St. Michael’s Church for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking trips to Mohegan Sun to see shows.
She is survived by her sons Ronald Augustine (Anne), and Joseph Augustine, as well as six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Augustine was predeceased by her daughter Barbara Augustine Smith, her brother Steve Jordan, and her sisters Ann Stronkowski and Josephine Jordan.
Friends may call on Thursday August 29 from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St. Derby. On Friday Stella’s funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM for her Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Michael Church, 75 Derby Ave. Derby.
