Stella Ciezniak, 93, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest, early Wednesday morning, November 3, 2010, at the Hilltop Health Center in Ansonia. She was the loving wife of the late Bartley A. Ciezniak.
Mrs. Ciezniak was born in Staten Island, NY on February 10, 1917, daughter of the late William and Cecelia Prazyk Sawicki. A resident of Ansonia for most of her life, she was devoted to the care and well-being of her family. Stella was an avid NY Yankees fan.
She is survived by her son in law, Frank A. Pascuzzo of Ansonia, a granddaughter, Christine M. Bee and her husband John of Wallingford, a grandson, Steven J. Pascuzzo of Scottsdale, AZ, 5 great-grandchildren, Olivia and Matthew Bee of Wallingford and Lauren, Kirsten, and Alyssa Pascuzzo of Scottsdale, AZ, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Joanne M. Pascuzzo, a brother, Casimir Sawicki, and a sister Laura Hammon.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday November 6, 2010 at 9:30 am at the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church, 32 Jewett Street in Ansonia. Entombment will follow in Mt. St. Peter’s Garden Mausoleum in Derby. Visiting hours will also be held on SATURDAY MORNING from 8:00 am until the procession leaves for church.
