Stephen Fusti, age 65, of Shelton entered into rest on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
He was the devoted husband of Judith Cepuch Fusti.
Stephen was born in Bridgeport on May 24, 1947 son of the late Stephen and Barbara Magdics Fusti.
He began his teaching career in 1969 at the Mohegan School where he taught 4th, 5th and 6th grades for 16 years.
Stephen later became the principal of the Elizabeth Shelton School for 20 years until his retirement in 2006.
During his retirement he taught part-time for the Shelton Intermediate School, and consulted for the State Department of Education as a CALI coach for the Norwalk and Danbury School Systems.
Mr. Fusti was a former officer and member of the Shelton Education Association and was a member of the Gardening Angels of St. Lawrence Church.
He is the loving father of Stephen Fusti of Boston, MA, David Fusti of Brooklyn, NY, Michael Fusti of Shelton, and the son-in-law of Michael Cepuch and the late Dorothy Cepuch.
On Saturday, friends are invited to his Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM (Noon) at St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton.
His burial will be private.
