Stephen J. Mankulics

Stephen J. Mankulics, age 79, husband of Florence M. Keefe Mankulics and resident of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest Dec. 18.

He was born May 28, 1935 in Ansonia, son of the late Stephen and Adele Lastaukas Mankulics.

A veteran of the Army, He worked for the Veterans’ Hospital and on the Army Reserves Base in the petroleum division. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 50 and the Catholic War Veterans. He was a parishioner of The Church of the Assumption in Ansonia, and a member of The Knights of Columbus, Ansonia’s North Enders’ Club, the Central Subalpi Club and The Charter Hose Fire Co.

In addition to his wife Florence, he leaves his son Stephen M. Mankulics (Nancy) of Ansonia, daughter Nancy Osiecki of Derby, 2 sisters Adele Urbon & Lillian Marganski, both of Ansonia, 4 grandchildren, Roy Alberti, Jamie Osiecki, and Michael & Trent Mankulics, special nephew Michael Keefe, special niece Maureen Keefe and several other nieces & nephews.

Friends may call on Sunday, Dec. 21 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. (www.jenkinskingfh.com) A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Dec. 22 at 10:30 a.m. at The Church of the Assumption, 61 N. Cliff St. Ansonia, CT 06401. Entombment will follow with military honors accorded, in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery Mausoleum in Derby.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to his church.
