Steven A. Lydem

Sergeant Steven A. Lydem, 38, of Philadelphia, NY, husband of Rebecca Macero Lydem, entered into eternal rest on Nov. 25, 2014, at his home.

Steven was born in Derby on April 17, 1976, son of Perry Lydem and Karen Searles. After graduating from Ansonia High School, he served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps and later served two tours in Iraq during his twelve years in the U.S. Army and retired in 2012.

In addition to his wife Rebecca and parents, he is survived by children, Steven, Aiden and Ozzie Lydem, brothers, Scott Lydem and Jason Lydem, father in law and mother in law, Louis and Vivian Macero of Ansonia and many friends.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday December 20, 2014, at 11:00 am at Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Drive in Ansonia. U.S. Marine military honors will be accorded following Mass. Friends and relatives may greet the family at the church from 10:30 am until Mass begins. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Steven’s family for his three young children through Louis Macero, 55 Hubbell Avenue, Ansonia, CT 06401.
