Steven W. Wallick

Steven W. Wallick, 69, entered into eternal rest on April 5, 2016, in the comfort of his home, with his loving wife by his side. He was the beloved husband of Lynn Bennett-Wallick.

Steven was born in Derby on October 21, 1946, son of the late Steven and Frances Bukoski Wallick. 

He grew up in Ansonia and attended Assumption School. He was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in West Haven and later earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of New Haven. A resident of Naugatuck for over thirty years, he was employed as a quality control manager at Trumph Manufacturing in Farmington for twenty-five years, until his retirement in 2012. Steve was a devoted member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Naugatuck, where he served as a Eucharistic minister, lector, vestry member and member of the healing team. There, he also sang in the choir and volunteered at the ecumenical food bank. Steve enjoyed fly fishing, singing, playing the guitar, photography and was a member of the Audubon Society. He was an avid fan of UConn basketball and above all enjoyed family gatherings, picnics, holidays and attending his grandchildren’s events. 

In addition to his wife Lynn, he is survived by sons, Steven A. Wallick and his wife Lisa of Townsend, VT, Geoffrey S. Wallick of Boston, MA and William M. LaRovera III of Naugatuck, daughters, Heather Wallick of Austin, TX, Traci L. Ricciuti and her husband Robert of Seymour and Nicole E. LaRovera and her husband Costantino Ungureanu of Ansonia, cherished grandchildren, Jake LaRovera, Michael LaRovera, Kaci Ricciuti, Karli Ricciuti and Myah LaRovera, a caring sister, Pamela Marchetti and her husband Dennis of Seymour and several nieces, nephews friends and feline sons, Gideon and Finnigan. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marlene Watrous Wallick.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Saturday April 9, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 210 Church Street in Naugatuck for a service of Requiem Eucharist. Interment will be private. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia and ALSO on Saturday at the church from 10:00 am until the service begins. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Steve’s memory may be made to St. Michael’s Episcopal Church.
